Jennifer Dehghan is an Emmy nominated Iranian-American Production Designer and Fine Art Painter who has designed for filmmakers such as The Russo Brothers, Diablo Cody, Jason Woliner, Brad Silberling, Lucia Aniello, Maggie Kiley, Fred Savage and Michael Keaton while Art Directing for Sofia Coppola, Noah Baumbach, William Hornberg, Jim Taylor, Davis Guggenheim, Henry Alex Rubin and Natalie Portman. Her paintings have been sold in the US and Germany and shown in Munich. 

After winning numerous awards in a past life as art director for BBDO-NY, Jennifer found film. She art directed on several critically acclaimed features including Noah Baumbach’s Oscar nominated THE SQUID AND THE WHALE, Henry-Alex Rubin’s DISCONNECT, Sofia Coppola’s Civil War set THE BEGUILED (nominated for a Palm d’Or at Cannes) and again as supervising art director for Coppola’s ON THE ROCKS with Bill Murray and Rashida Jones.

Her feature production design credits include: the IFC / HULU released thriller THE NIGHT for director Kourosh Ahari, director and Oscar-winning Visual Effects Supervisor Rob Legato’s thriller CHOOSE, the romantic drama DARE starring Emmy Rossum for director Adam Salky (nominated for Sundance’s Grand Jury Prize), Michael Keaton’s THE MERRY GENTLEMAN (an Official Sundance Selection) and J.J. Lask’s ON THE ROAD WITH JUDAS (nominated for Sundance’s Grand Jury Prize).

For television Dehghan recently designed the POWERPUFF GIRLS Pilot for Maggie Kiley which reunited her with writer Diablo Cody. She also did the beloved romantic drama and Netflix’s holiday hit DASH & LILY which won her an Emmy nomination. Dehghan has designed the pilots+first seasons for Fox’s THE MICK, USA’s PLAYING HOUSE, NBC’s BEST FRIENDS FOREVER and the first season of NBC’s ANIMAL PRACTICE, scattering in a variety of commercials for directors such as Jason Woliner, Cole Webley, Zach Math and Fred Savage.

Her work as additional art director on Oscar-winner Jim Taylor’s short, The Lost Cause, secured Dehghan a role art directing her first notable feature, the Academy Award nominated The Squid and the Whale for director Noah Baumbach.

Dehghan has since art directed on several critically acclaimed features: working as supervising art director on Sofia Coppola’s On the Rocks, starring Rashida Jones and Bill Murray; as art director on Coppola’s Civil War era The Beguiled, nominated for a Palm d’Or at Cannes in 2017; and as art director on Disconnect for director Henry-Alex Rubin.

Her feature production design credits include: the IFC / HULU released thriller The Night for director Kourosh Ahari, Jenny’s Wedding for director Mary Agnes Donahue, director and Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Rob Legato’s thriller Choose, the romantic drama Dare starring Emmy Rossum for director Adam Salky (nominated for Sundance’s Grand Jury Prize in 2009), Michael Keaton’s The Merry Gentlemen (a 2008 Official Sundance Selection) and J.J. Lask’s On the Road with Judas (nominated for Sundance’s Grand Jury Prize 2007).

For television, Dehghan designed the Powerpuff Girls pilot for Maggie Kiley, reuniting her with writer Diablo Cody after a previous Raised by Wolves pilot together. She also did the pilot + first season of OWN’s Delilah and the beloved pilot + first season of Netflix’s holiday romance Dash & Lily. the pilots + first seasons of Fox’s The Mick, USA’s Playing House, the YouTube Premium mini-series Sideswiped, the pilot + first season of NBC’s Best Friends Forever and the first season of NBC’s Animal Practice for Joe and Anthony Russo. She has also designed a variety of commercials for directors such as Jason Woliner, Cole Webley, Zach Math and Fred Savage.
